JEFF’S ROLE: Jeff provides a service that identifies the environmental risks and liabilities for investors, banks and developers. In jargon-free terms, he assesses the many complex issues which can arise in assessing environmental land quality. One of the main causes of cost overruns on care projects is not on the above-ground structure, but on the problems that can be encountered underground due to contaminants. Jeff’s work includes all aspects of land quality, due diligence auditing, site investigation and remediation project management. Over the years, Jeff has worked as a consultant for many Government Departments, Local Authorities, major landowners and FTSE100 companies advising on land contamination issues and remediation strategies. HE GOT HIS START : Jeff is a Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences and a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv). He graduated with a BSc in Built Environment before undertaking an MSc in Environmental Assessment and Management. Jeff previously worked for GVA Grimley Ltd where he headed up the Environmental Services department for the North of England and Scotland. He has previously worked in consultancy for WSP Environmental Ltd in the London market and Waterman Environmental within the North East.
