DANNY’S ROLE: Danny takes the lead on the planning and design of new opportunities: working with clients from the outset of a project to ensure that their aspirations are achieved. Setting realistic targets in the face of the increasing confines of the planning and legal system, Danny helps to maximize the potential of a site without losing sight of the overall goal. HE GOT HIS START: Danny began training as an architect before switching to Town Planning and graduated in 1992, being admitted to the Royal Town Planning Institute shortly thereafter. After a spell advising on large scale regeneration projects both in Manchester and back in his native North East, Danny moved to London having joined the executive board of a national architecture practice. After 10 successful years in the world of architecture, he set up Northstar in 2007 with Ian to focus solely on the design and delivery of residential and nursing care homes. Danny has secured land purchase deals and planning consents for over 1,500 care home beds since that time.
